Lundy Law is seeking an experienced Worker’s Compensation Legal Assistant. In addition to the requisite experience, the ideal candidate will be organized, be able to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines, and possess proven customer service skills.    Thriving in a dynamic setting while supporting multiple attorneys, responsibilities include coordinating depositions, adding hearings to attorney calendars, managing and organizing attorney schedules, and aiding in file preparation for events like hearings, depositions, and mediations. Additionally, administrative duties encompass answering phones, typing correspondence, scheduling appointments, copying/faxing reports to clients, filing, and maintaining files.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, properly index, and analyze medical records and other file materials. Maintain electronic files for each assigned matter;
  • Provide status reports and recommendations to attorneys in preparation for and throughout all stages of litigation;
  • Carry a caseload of approximately 40-60+ active files.
  • Draft substantive correspondence to clients/other parties/courts, answers to discovery, and various pleadings;
  • Maintain attorney calendars including scheduling, depositions, phone calls, mediations, and depositions.
Experience & Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a law firm.
  • At least 2+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant with comparable job responsibilities, preferably in worker’s compensation.
  • Practical knowledge of Litify case management system or similar.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
